We Were Here Tomorrow — Co-op & Communication Guide
Official co-op basics for We Were Here Tomorrow: public lobbies, microphone checks, connection advice and checkpoint recovery.
We Were Here Tomorrow is an online adventure for two players on Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with crossplay between those versions. You need a partner and a way to exchange clues. This guide summarizes official support advice; it is not a claim of a completed independent setup test.
Find a cooperative partner
The developer FAQ confirms that you can create a public lobby in the game and wait for another player. The official Discord is another place to arrange a partner. Use the session options displayed by your platform and check that both players have access to the game.
Check your microphone and radio
On PC, make the intended microphone the default Windows input and select the same device in the game. Check that input levels are audible and alternate your radio transmissions. The official support article also suggests a friend-list invitation for affected sessions, without documenting every platform's screens.
Compare connection settings
The PC connection article recommends matching the in-game region with your partner, checking system time and verifying the game files. It is older support guidance, not a guarantee that these checks solve every release issue. Use the current Steam requirements for hardware and Windows compatibility.
Resume an Xbox checkpoint
Xbox support describes autosave, generally after finishing a whole puzzle and moving into the next room. For Xbox checkpoint recovery, the host can use the journey selector and choose an available checkpoint; the article also suggests changing host if choices are locked. The October 21 known-issues page now gives host-controlled checkpoint reselection as a general softlock workaround.
Continue with the relevant guide
The crossplay overview explains platform compatibility and online requirements. The beginner guide covers preparation, while the achievement overview lists selected published conditions. For a disappearing walkie-talkie, the developer’s current known-issues page recommends a checkpoint reload as a temporary workaround.
