We Were Here Tomorrow Puzzle Guide: Cable & Tools

We Were Here Tomorrow puzzle guide covers a community cable route, Goop placements, Hook handoffs and shared grid callouts for the documented layouts.

For the We Were Here Tomorrow cable puzzle, begin at GEN, follow connected modules without revisiting one, and open the gated branches before entering them. The route below is a launch-week community solution whose connections were checked against its diagram. The tool sections summarize player footage and illustrated guidance; they are not a claim of a complete independent playthrough.

Cable puzzle route: spoilers

For a board matching these module IDs, the published route is GEN → Ψ01 → Ψ04 → Ψ02 → Ψ03 → Ψ06 → Σ04 → Σ03 → Σ01 → Σ02 → Ψ08 → Θ03 → Δ02 → Δ03 → λ02 → λ03 → λ01 → Ψ07. Hemique and Crouvax supplied the community route, and readers reported that it helped them progress. Match the displayed symbols and wiring before using it, because a different board or changed build is outside this solution's scope.

Why the cable route works

Only a directly wired, unused module is a valid next stop. The green gate opens through sigma-two, the red gate through sigma-three, and the blue gate through delta-three. Opening a gate makes its destinations available; it does not remove the wiring or no-repeat rules.

Have one player track the current node and the other read the next connection. Compare a rejected move with the wire, visited-node record and gate state before changing the route. This checking method helps locate a mismatch without asserting that every failure is a game bug.

Goop placement and recall

Player guidance shows Goop used as a step, a pad weight and a target for the Hook. On the documented PC tutorial, Q recalls the cube, so tell your partner before taking away a block they are using. Use your own control prompts if your bindings differ.

Transfer a handle to the Hook

In the illustrated prototype-area example, one Explorer pulls the handle while the Hook player attaches to its end. Release the hand grip only after the Hook is visibly holding it, then confirm the passage stays open. Keep the attachment until the other player is clear.

Reach a raised square fitting

Place a Goop cube in the raised fitting before the Hook player targets it. Confirm that the block is seated and that your partner has reached a stable position before recalling it. A missed placement and an early recall are different problems, so discuss which one happened.

Share a grid instead of memorizing a code

The inspected release-session transcript includes a four-by-four light display, while the illustrated player guide shows a specific example pattern. Describe rows from top to bottom and columns from left to right, then read your current display. This page does not turn one screenshot's pattern into a universal numeric answer.

Choose the section matching your room

This guide covers the cable board, Goop placement, Hook handoffs and shared grid callouts. Match your current room to the described layout before using a route. For a stuck opening door or a lost radio, use the official recovery advice in the co-op guide, and use the achievement overview for published objectives.
